Tours of Port Campus while you wait for your review time
If you requested a portfolio review, you will receive your portfolio review time when you check in at the registration desk at the Port Campus. We should be able to give you a general idea of your review time in the last few days leading up to the event. If you are having your Portfolio reviewed, you may bring a physical Portfolio, or a Portfolio on a USB stick. Please make sure each image on the USB is less than 2MB to insure fast loading time.
You can attend as little or as many of the event as you like, but please note that you need to have an appointment in order to have your portfolio reviewed. Please be on time- If you miss your appointment, you will be required to wait until the next available review time.
Student Ambassadors will be available throughout the day to answer questions and chat about NSCAD student life in general. They will also keep you up to date on any additions to the schedule so that you can optimize your time here!
In addition to Portfolio Day, October 18 is a great day to be in Halifax because it is the date of the city’s annual Nocturne event. Nocturne: Art at Night is a fall festival that brings art and energy to the streets of Halifax between 6 p.m.-midnight. The completely free, annual event showcases and celebrates the visual arts scene in Halifax. Nocturne is an opportunity for everyone to experience the art of Halifax in a whole new light. You can visit http://www.nocturnehalifax.ca/about for more information on this exciting event!
We will email you with any changes or updates to the above schedule as they arise. In the meantime, if you have any questions at all please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us. We love it here, and we know that you will too!
If there is anything we can do to make your visit more enjoyable or informative, please do not hesitate to contact us.
All the Best,
This is looking real guys 🙂 I spoke w/their disabilities cousellor also. We are going to have a sit down to talk about what going back to school might look like for me and what my needs are to make this a success. I really want to take their Design program, Bill (Disabilities Counsellor) says its one of the harder programs to get admitted to 😐 But who knows, I have a lot of logistics to work out before I can make this happen. I may find in the foundation year I’ll want to change my focus.
